Yoga

Yoga practice helps us move from distress to de-stress, from dis-ease to ease, from passion to compassion.

The word yoga means to “yoke” or to “unite” which implies a reintegration. This discipline aims to bring the mind and body into sync and balance with each other through breathing, postures and meditation.

Through the breath & physical practice (asanas) our bodies are in the present moment. The goal is to bring our mind and thoughts into the present too. That allows your mind and body to become ONE.

We can say that Yoga is a state of mind & the state of yoga is when the mind is still. The postures are physical exercises that seek to relax and still the body, and breath work to focus the mind.
